Jesus gave us power over all the power of the enemy. The word translated as “power” here is from the Greek “exousia”, which means “authority” or “delegated power” over all the abilities of the enemy. It doesn’t matter how or through what means the devil tries to work; we have authority in the Name of Jesus over all of his power, and there’s nothing he can do about it. God wants us to know the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe (Ephesians 1:19). This power that is directed towards us is the same power God demonstrated when He raised Christ from the dead and set Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms. When God directed His power towards Jesus to raise Him up from the dead, we were in Him; so we were raised up together with Christ on that great resurrection morning.
